Gore Vidal ~ Ben-Hur Decoded

by Nick Glossop on August 2, 2012Leave a comment

This delicious little snippet, brought to my attention by the dynamic duo at the Professional Left, shows a quite-rightfully smug Gore Vidal describing the plot he hatched to lace biblical block-buster Ben-Hur with some campy man-on-man passion. I do so hope that his account of a gormless, unwitting Charlton my-cold-dead-hands Heston is entirely true.

Spoiler Alert: you will never watch that film the same way again.

You never did a finer day’s work Mr. Vidal. Rest in peace.
