Egyptian Revolution Far From Over

The affable Egyptian revolutionary, journalist, and blogger Hossam El-Hamalawy recently spoke to a packed house in London, England. He recounts his experience of the eruption of revolution and speaks about the prospects for the revolutionary generation following the election of the (neoliberal) Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohamed Morsi. As it happens, there’s been massive labor unrest in the Egyptian delta in recent days: some 23 000 textile workers launched a strike on July 15, occupying the factories. According to these Egyptian workers: The coming revolution will be a workers’ revolution.’
