In a word, Wow. I mean, you always hear that the United States is a military juggernaut. Then you see the data to prove it.

Worth noting that the US is the largest exporter of arms in the world, so many other nations – in particular the despotic House of Saud (arguably the most ruthless regime in the Mid East and the top military spender by GDP in the world) – are of a piece with the US military-industrial-complex. Obama signed a massive arms deal with SA during his1st term.
