REM, sons of Georgia call it quits. Another Georgia son, Troy Davis gets no stay and is executed. Here’s to scrabbling the dial in search of a frequency on which some benevolent entity is broadcasting, back at us, messages of hope, dignity, a square deal, and a dollop, or at least a drizzle of rock and roll.

Not exactly proud to be a Georgian today, but proud of all the Georgians who stood up for a condemned man’s rights. It’s funny, though, how many “Christians” tend to take the side of Pontius Pilate and wash their hands of responsibility. The state should not take life, period. End of story.
