After DNA evidence was obtained to prove authenticity, and handling the body of Osama Bin Laden “in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition,” US forces on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson buried him at sea – the North Arabian Sea. The country of his birth, Saudi Arabia, had apparently declined to accept the remains.
